"Bring Change, Lord!"

The Holy Spirit has been sweeping the leaven out of our lives. It is a purifying work. One thing we should be crying out to the Lord for is purity. “Bring change, Lord! Bring forth Your nature in us!”

It is most necessary for us to learn how to appropriate the Lord – His life, His Spirit, His presence. Appropriate what He is with your spirit until He comes forth in your life. Initiate a resurrection of Him in you. John 12:32 says, And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. The literal translation of the Greek is: And I, if I be lifted up out of the earth, will draw all men unto Myself. Let Him come forth out of your earth – your earthen nature. The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ in us is what will draw men unto Him.

After you learn how to appropriate His life, then you can impart Him to others. The ministry of impartation (giving) is very important. It always bothers me when I hear a pastor ask, “How many have come to get a blessing?” The reason for going to church is not to get a blessing, but to give a blessing. You will receive a lot more when you give without thinking of yourself.

A most important aspect of repentance, that many seem to overlook, is to repent for our sin nature. The adamic nature cannot be disciplined. You cannot bring forth goodness out of the adamic nature. There is none that doeth good, no, not one. Romans 3:12. Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? Then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. Jeremiah 13:23. It has to be the Lord. His life has to come forth in us. He brings forth the change in us as we appropriate His life.
